So another day and little more work done on my X-Plane Ortho set for New Zealand. I’ve done the area around Palmerston North, it’s looking like this right now:

So yellow! Is that Kansas?
Unfortunately, this has left me with the most severe colour changes between this region and the surrounds. At very high altitude it will look like this:
I had considered recolouring the files, but that’s not really realistic. Alternatively, I could source other ortho photos taken at different times of year.
As I said in my previous post, I have endeavoured to remove any razor sharp edges from the photos’ seams to blend them together a little better. So at the very least, you could tell yourself there’s a draught in the Manawatu, or they grow different crops maybe.
