I’ve had a lot of fun over the past few days practicing instrument landings. Some of these have been down right scary but a bit like air to air refueling it’s really quite rewarding.
You can see in this example that I recorded that I don’t flare properly at the end and come in too low. I love the moment when you actually get the runway in site. That can be some spooky shit.
Landing in thick fog is tough one, and also landing with low visibility and a cross wind is even tougher. I think DCS had a bunch of good work done to it in the last patch to fix ILS. I’m sure enjoying it.
It’s a shame that there aren’t any ILS landings required in the Georgian Hammer campaign (that I’ve found).
